The passion fruit has a smooth skin and as it ripens its skin becomes wrinkled. The riper it is, the sweeter it becomes.

For it to ripen quickly we must leave the fruit at room temperature.

It can be stored in the fridge for days, even weeks.

Preparation

The fruit must be consumed once it is wrinkled, since this is its optimal point.

This fruit is perfect for making smoothies and desserts. It can also be consumed directly by dividing the fruit in half and eating its pulp, including seeds.
