Avocado is a pear-shaped fruit that contains a creamy green and yellow pulp, its skin is green but its texture changes depending on the variety.

At Giallo Royal we produce two varieties.

It is the most well-known and most sold variety. Its skin is thick, tough and rough. When harvested, the fruit is green and when it ripens, the skin becomes darker until it is almost black; this is the best time to consume it.

It is a variety with smooth and soft dark green skin.

To accelerate the avocado ripening process we must place them in a paper bag, along with bananas or oranges if we have them at home, and leave them at room temperature.

We know that the fruit is ripe when we press it with our finger and it gives way.

To stop its ripening process we must keep it in the fridge; this way it can keep for weeks.

To peel an avocado we take a knife and cut it vertically in half, we take out the stone and with the help of a spoon we can separate the pulp from its skin.

It can be consumed fresh with olive oil and salt or it can be used in salads, milkshakes, desserts, etc.
